Insects are some of the planet’s most glorious creatures.
From bees and other pollinators, without which we would not have the food that we eat. To the those who help us maintain our soil health and make it possible for plants and crops to grow.
Insectarium features designs that are an ode to nature. The importance of bees and insects. The protective nature of cocoons, chrysalis and beetle shells. And the role of wild flowers.
Also with a nod to our childhoods; we have nostalgic knitwear. A patchwork coat inspired by vintage storybooks, and flared velvet corduroy trousers; inspired by the 70s.
Sustainability is both a practice and a goal at Bella + Frank. We approach each garment individually to consider the feasibility of circularity, as well as carbon footprint. Each one of our decisions is based on what we believe would make the least impact on the environment.
With a focus on garments that are multi-functional; meaning longevity, creativity and wearability.
Multi-functionality is an important part of our design principles. So our kids can wear items multiple times and in multiple ways. Dresses that are tops, jackets that can be worn four different ways and reversible coats, shirts and skirts.
